Kitchen Hacks


  • To remove bad odor from the fish, make a mix 1 tbsp salt with 1 tbsp lemon juice and apply it on the fish and keep it aside for 1 hour before cooking.
  • To cook the chicken breast faster, marinate the chicken with some yogurt and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
  • To get rid of the fish odor from the kitchen, boil 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of water mix in the kitchen.
  • To remove the scales easily from the fish, rub the fish with vinegar and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • When frying the chicken or fish, add a pinch of salt in the oil to avoid the oil splash.
  • If you are frying the chicken or fish dipped in batter, add one or two pinch of baking powder in the batter to get it crispy.
  • When you cook the meat, first cook it in high heat. Once the juice starts oozing out, cook it in low heat.
  • Add salt to the meat only after it is half cooked. Else the meat will become dry. 
  • When you are cooking the mutton, add a small piece of raw papaya to it to get it soft.
  • When you are making fish curry, instead of  adding chilli powder directly, mix it with some water and add. It will make the curry tastier.
  • When you cook the pasta, do not add olive oil in the water. It will prevent the pasta to get mixed with the sauce.
  • When you make the batter for pancake, add soda instead of water to make it softer.
  • Add some semolina to the poori dough to taste better.
  • When you are cutting raw banana, put some oil on the hands and knife to avoid mess.
  • To avoid forming thin layer on the custard while letting it cool, sprinkle some sugar on top of it.
  • To let the apples stay longer, make holes in the plastic bag and keep the apples in the bags  refrigerated.
  • If the lettuce is not fresh, dip it in a lemon cold water mix and refrigerate for an hour and use. 
  • To make the green peas tastier, add two pinches of sugar to it while cooking.
  • Rub the cutting board with some vinegar before cutting the onions without tears.
  • If you soak the cashew nuts in milk before adding it in the cake batter, they wont sink.
  • To retain the color of the cauliflower, add 1 tbs milk while cooking.
  • To get crispy okra fry, add some drops of lemon juice to it while frying.
  • When frying the fish, to prevent it from sticking on the pan add a pinch of all purpose four in the oil.
  • To peel off the almond skin easily, put them in some water and microwave for 3 minutes.
